Amazingly everybody was safe given the freezing water. They can all count themselves as lucky.

What is so amazing with all of it, is how rare airplanes crash. For that to be the 1st plane wreck in almost 2 years, that's amazing. My husband told me about it last night, it is crazy that a group of bird can take down an airplane. I can't believe with as cold as it has been, that people didn't die from hypothermia.

The pilot had 40 years of flying experience and it paid off big time. It's a miracle which is nice to see.

Very lucky indeed. They're saying that just one bird can actually cause these crashes...so...although I don't kill bugs unless they bite me..gonna have to take in some duck huntin'. I wonder if the people who experience such a close call ever get on a plane again? I'm pretty sure if a plane I was on crashed and I lived...I'd never get on another one again...great news to hear everyone is OK.

You know I think if I was on a plane and it crashed and I lived, I would fly everywhere and never have a fear of it. I would figure what are the odds of that ever happening to me ever again. I hate flying. Last time I flew-I went to Hawaii, and I wasn't scared of it-I just didn't like it. When I was in Hawaii- I went on a helicopter, and the pilot kept pretending he was going to smash us in to a cliff. It was a bunch of girls on the helicopter in bikinis, and he thought making everyone scream was funny. It made me hate the whole thing.
The first time I ever flew to anywhere, my ears never popped, and I was deaf for 6 hours. I hated that. That's another reason I hate flying.
But, ever since 9-11, I can't get myself to get on a plane for anything. I can't think of anywhere I want to go to bad enough, that I can't drive to.

Pilot's a hero no doubt about it. Things like this are gonna happen regardless as I would never let it keep me from flying or anything else for that matter. What's gonna happen will happen but thankfully this particular situation turned out ok for everyone.......
