It is almost here. I had a great 2008, I can't believe how much I did this past year.
Did you guys have highlights of the year that were your favorite?
I had so many. Seeing Van Halen in concert was awesome. I went to Longwood Gardens with my friends. I went to Colonial Williamsburg. I met Eddie Money. My friends all decorated my entire house in black balloons for my 40th birthday. I got to meet Lindsay Wagner, Lou Ferrigno, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman and Meredith Salenger. I got a neice (my brother and his wife had another baby). We had our Community Egg Hunt, I did our Pumpkin Carving Contest. I went to a ski resort for their Autumnfest. Alot of my family and friends came to visit us this year. I had an awesome year of B & B people. We met a friend for life- with a girl we have had staying with us for 3 months. I got my braces off. It has been such a great year for us. I am so grateful to have had a healthy year too.
I can't wait for 2009- I have lots of great things planned for this coming year.
How about anyone else, do you have big plans on anything you want to do for this next year?
I want to say that I am so glad that I have got to know alot of new people this year on the Rewind...Bandit, 80sRocked, JDoc, KevDug, and Atomik, Jack Burton, EleanorJune, YECBSC, and Buffalo-Girl- you guys have been great to get to know, and I am grateful to all the old Rewinders that have been around for years, that I still get to stay in touch with all of you. It has been a year of ups and downs on here too. But, it is still nice to be living in the 80s with everyone. I hope that 2009 brings even more fun times here at the Rewind!
Long live the 80s.

Happy 2009 everyone! Really lowkey celebration for me this year. I was travelling all of last night coming home, so I'm dog tired tonight. One sip of champagne was all I had!

2008 has definately been a year of ups and downs. For me it started on a real low when in January/Febuary I had a nervous breakdown due to work pressures and physical threats from customers, and had to take a few weeks off work.
In March, I met my wonderful partner and things started to look up.
In both May and September, I had trouble again at work when my memory was badly affected by the essential medication I have to take. But I've realised I'd rather take my meds and have bad memory than not take it and feel like harming myself!
Coming back to the Rewind after a break of a couple of years was a real highlight for me, and I echo Isis' sentiments in meeting the new people here and reuniting with the old school crew.

2008 had its highs and lows but hey, its over now.
Here's hoping that 2009 doesn't turn out to be the disaster that all those "experts" on TV are saying its gonna be...
I can't believe that next year will be 30 years since 1980... 30 years!
