As for X-mas, I see these standards year after year. I feel about them the same way I feel about candy kisses on Halloween, can't stand them! I dunno, just all the nuts, dried fruit and other stuff just doesn't appeal to me. I'm a plain jane I guess, I prefer shortbread cookies and gum drop cake(my mom makes a killer one!)

I never heard of gumdrop cake...that sounds good.

I just made Shortbread the other night...it's our favorite...It is a Scottish tradition in my family.

My mom was talking about finding a fruit cake recipe....I like it if it is super good...and moist. But not that dried up junk.

Try and find a gum drop cake recipe, you use the small non cugar coated gum drops for cooking. It's a little like plain poundcake with it. Scrumptous!

Hmmmm...I don't know if I have ever seen gum drops without any sugar on them.

It sounds yummy.

I will try looking it up.

I am trying to think up lots of new recipe things for my Christmas party.

You see them usually where the baking supplies are, kind of small and cone shaped.
