We went to the Olive Garden on Sunday night. I have only ever been to one maybe twice. I saw a commercial for Chicken Gnocchi soup, that they have there, and it looked good. I love Chicken Noodle Soup, and anything with dumplings in it. Which Gnocchi is potato dumplings. I got that soup...and there was like 3 dumplings in the whole soup, and the rest was broth....I ate some salad, and I got some Chocolate Gelato-which was awesome, but I got so sick from eating there.
Anyway.....we never go out to eat as much as we use to. But when we do, I like to go to different places...not so much chain restaurants.
Do you guys give Restaurant gift cards to people as presents, if so...which are your favorites?
I always get my Dad a Red Lobster gift card.

Bismarck finally got an Olive Garden on November 24th. I'll probably wait until the spring before I even attempt to go there since it's always tough to get into new restaurants in this town.
Some of my favourite places are:
Famous Daves--Good BBQ joint Buffalo Wild Wings--Awesome wings Hooter's--awesome wings great scenery Denny's--good place to eat after a heavy night of drinking Perkins--Denny's on a higher scale Golden Corral--Awesome all you can eat buffet Qudoba--Fresh Mexican Grill that makes huge burritos
Then of course there's the usual fast-food places KFC, Arbys & Taco Del Mar are some of my favourites
My brother-in law loves Famous Daves so much he got over $200 in gift cards to there last Christmas

My favorite places in the 80s were Bonanza and Ponderosa.
The Olive Garden was beautifully decorated.
My other favorite place was Chi Chi's. But they all went out of business around here. That's where I went with my husband on our first date. I loved that place. I love Mexican Food.

Jeez, we don't have anything like those restuarants here. I love going to the Hog's Breathe Cafe, they have absolutely awesome food - massive steaks, great chicken burgers, curly fries...
Every time we go there we swear we're going to try the desserts, but by the time we finish our meals there's no chance of fitting in any dessert!

My daughter usually picks where we go and she likes RED LOBSTER and OLIVE GARDEN. Sometimes when we go to lunch with a bunch of her friends we go to CHILIS cuz there's one near us or sometimes we hit TGI FRIDAYS.

Last time I was over in NY, we went out to a Hooters bar out on Long Island. Seven of us ate and drank like the world was about to end - ribs, steaks, and endless wings and fries, all washed down with jugs of beer.
Then the check came, and the waitress had obviously got the tables mixed up, cos the check for our table, with our table number on it, was just over $40, including tax.......
So we left her a nice big tip, and slowly walked out as fast as we could.....

How about Chuck E. Cheese...Does anyone have one of them near them.
Or Dave and Busters? I have never been to one of those before either.
How about the Macaroni Grille? I have always wanted to go to one, but never have.
I do love Friendly's and Cracker Barrel (but I have only ever been to them a few times-on vacations.

Sonic has really, really good food, and excellent milkshakes. I'd eat there more often, but I"m the only person in my family who likes it.

I've had bad experiences with the Sonic here maybe it's just this one. I got food poisoning there like 10 years ago and have never been able to eat there since. My favorite chain restaurants would be Hooter's and Ryan's.....

ISIS, you MUST go to DAVE AND BUSTERS. I will never go to CHUCK E CHHESE again - DAVE & BUTSERS is so much better. We went there for like the 4th time this past weekend and after we ate I turned to my husband and said "The best part is their food is actually GOOD". A lot of places you take the kids so they can play (and eating is an after-thought) have terrible to mediocre food (CHUCK E CHEESE is mediocre). DAVE & BUSTER's is actually really good food. I got the double cheeseburger and fries and was in hog heaven! Theres lot to do there and when the kids win tickets to use towards prizes the prizes are actually nice stuff unlike another franchise that I'll just call C.E.C. that gives you nothing but crap for "prizes"!
They have bowling and billiards too and I assumed we were gonna bowl this time but we never end up actually bowling, we get so wrapped up in the arcade games.

I think the closest Dave and Busters is 3 1/2 hours away from me...that's why I never went...but my husband went to one when he was on a business trip. He liked it.
I love Arcades...so I know I'd love it.
Does anyone like Red Robin?
How about Fuddrucker's?

I don't go out to eat all that often, and like Muffy, we choose to go to locally owned restaurants over chains. I just think most chain restaurants stink. Their food is mostly pre-packaged already, so they either microwave or fry it and that's it. Yuck. I would rather cook good Mexican at home if we'r hungry for that, or steaks on my grill- I got them cut thick (we bought a cow in the springtime and split it with our friend). If we have to eat fast food, I would go with either Burger King or Taco Hell.
