Out of these it's a close choice between the Yip Yip aliens and Link Hogthrob for my favorite. One of my favorite Muppet moments is an early Pigs in Space sketch, where a button has to be pressed that Miss Piggy has been in training for 7 years to press, and Link argues with her that he wants to press the button. She screams at him to shut up, and he says "Don't tell me to shutup, I'm your captain!"

Certainly a nice grouping of characters who deserve more recognition. Sherlock Hemlock would be my choice as the most underrated. They found a good number of ways to use him over the years without becoming formulaic, be it in Guy Smiley's Mystery Guest Show, incorrectly trying to guess the letter X's identity, singing the joys of X in the "X Marks the Spot" segment, or getting buried by Ernie at the beach after the latter tries to reverse the damage he's already inflicted on Bert. They really haven't used him much since the mid 90s, and if they can find a good replacement for Jerry Nelson, who largely just sticks to the Count these days, he really should be brought back.
