I was trying to delete some messages on here so I had some room...but sometimes I just can't part with some stuff that people have written to me. I was reading some PMs from 5 years ago, that were from around Thanksgiving...one was from deathbystereo, and I was thinking...I can't believe that we are still here 5 years later, still talking about the 80's, and Thanksgiving is coming up again. I was reading things I wrote, and it was like reading a personal journal/diary...because I had forgotten about things in my own life that happened that I was writing about. I have deleted lots of stuff... but some of the stuff was so funny to me to read...I had already forgotten about it...but at the time...it must have been a big deal to me. I was reading a PM between me and Noms about a thread about Vince Neil and the f-word, and I have no clue what that was even about anymore...but apparently at the time...it was a big deal...and then I was reading about different things that have happened in people's personal lives, deaths and break ups, and different things...and I thought wow...we all have been through alot together on here...and even though there's times that I wanted to reach through the computer and strangle someone on the other end...in the moment...it seems petty to me now...for any of it.
I don't know what it is...but certain things do not bother me anymore. I stil have my own morals that I live by...but I could care less anymore what other people say or do...if they want to say the f-word 50 times a day...that's up to them...I am not them...as long as it isn't in my house...I don't care. I was reading that, and thinking why did I care about that even then...so I feel like I have changed a little bit in my thinking from when I first came on the Rewind. I still am opinionated...but I am not so absorbed by what other people say or do.
What happened to The Wizard? He was here for a long time, and left.
I still am holding out hope for the Return of Bionic Bigfoot (sounds like a made for TV movie), and the Return of Eddie Wilson (which is Eddie and the Cruisers part 2) because I really miss them.
It is kind of a crazy history that we all share now.

Those private messages are like time capsules aren't they? I used to save most of them but I had to get rid of a bunch due to space availability. Really nice when you re-read a post after a number of years and see where your head space and time frame were at.

You can always copy / paste the text into a document or something.
However, if your mailbox is full, you can't send or receive any PMs, and that means that you can't live in the present, you can only reminisce about the past....
Hold on - that somehow doesn't seem like the best recommendation for me to make to some people on here!

I went through a few weeks ago and deleted all the ones before 2006, I figured there was nothing there anymore of vital importance!

I save them as long as I have enough space. Once I run out of space, I go back and delete those that are less important to me.

I save them. I print them, put them away and every now and then I get them out and look at them.
