A new James Bond movie means a re-hash of the old favourites list. Pay attention Rewinders...

Gadget: actually, the best movies are those where the gadgets are not the stars. However, I have to say that the best 'mechanical aids' I have seen in Bond moviesare the aston Martin DB5 and the Aston Martin DBS.

Best villian: Jaws was fearsome, but those teeth were as big a weakness as they were a strength. Christopher Lee was the coolest Bond bad guy for years, until Sean Bean's 006. I always thought 006 was the most complex and empathic Bond villian to date, deserves his own spin off really.

You Only Live Twice... ninjas, spaceshuttles and piranhas, all in one movie! close second... Living Daylights.
Girl: Aki from YOLT.
Villain: More of a bad girl, but Luciana Paluzzi as Fiona Volpe in Thunderball... for TWO reasons
Gadgets: Never really liked all the ridicilous gadgetry, but the jetpack and little nellie were pretty cool.

My son is reading everyone's responses, and he says that GoldenEye stinks, and Pierce Bronson and Timothy Dalton stink too. He said the car in Die another Day was awful because it could turn invisible and he says that was so fake, and when there's a scene where the Chinese guy in the pimped out Jaguar with the machine guns and missels is chasing after Bond...Bond flips the car over using the ejector seat, and that would be impossible, and he turns the car invisible...and my son says that was lame.
My son said the Sonic Ring is the coolest thing, because that seems like something that could actually be real..like the government could make something like that...and he thought it was cool when he puts his hand on the glass and twists the ring and the glass shatters and people fall through the floor. That's cool.

Isis, how does he know they haven’t already made the invisible car? After all: if it worked; you wouldn’t know it was there.
'Goldeneye' explores the nuances of what it is to be a spy: the betrayal, the way that something which was once life-or-death becomes worthless, it’s quite a complex Bond movie in its themes, and 006 is Bond’s alter ego; ‘Janus’ is the organisation but the two faces of that mythological Greek god represent the two faces of a spy and the two faces looking in opposite directions: 007 & 006.
Brosnan is Bond. I especially love the urban legend that film critics working in the tabloid gutter press were told to rubbish ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ because Rupert Murdoch thought it was about him...nonsense, Elliot Carver was a saint compared to Murdoch.
