For those of us here who celebrate it, what will you be doing that day? I'm not entirely sure, but I know it will involve a good degree of REST, since I've been working hard 5 days in a row editing shows now, and given that I have to coordinate the feed for the big Hazleton 150th Anniversary Fourth of July spectacular (yes, the same Hazleton that want to run every single illegal alien out of the country--no comment), it's probably not good that I'm typing this now at 2 in the morning, unable to sleep at all despeite almost crippling exhaustion. But that's me. If it's warm enough, I'll probably swim for a little while, maybe take my grandmother's dog (who kills me with delight every time I get through the door) for a nice long walk, maybe catch a movie (Ratatouille is sounding better and better each time), then watch one or more of the network's fireworks displays come prime time (although the schedule seem to say no Ford's Theater festivities this year; if so, double-curse you, Vladimir Putin!! THat just may be your worst crime of all when history calls!!!)
P.S.: If you'd like to get into the spirit for the holiday, feel free to read my Fourth of July themed Monk story that I just finished. Here, while on vacation in Philadelphia, he runs into Ralph Hinkley and company and inevitably discovers his secret. Can these two hapless guys save the world without killing themselves and still have time to patch up their own strained father-son relationships? Well, I'm certainly not going to give away everything. Going here, to:
