I have been outside all afternoon looking for "Pumpkin"....I don't know what happened to him, he was on the deck this morning when my husband fed them...and then by 10am he was missing...I looked under everything...and shined a flash light under my deck...I can't find him. That will drive me insane. I can't even think about a poor kitty being out there at night in the dark, with no food, no water, no mom.
I am glad that tomorrow morning 2 of them are going to their new home, before anything happens to them.
This is crazy....but the guy who's adopting them, is in a band called "Mr. Hand" and they named it after Mr. Hand in Fast Times...now how cool is that...that my cats are going to a guy who plays in a cover band and he covers alot of the 80's stuff.
That is destiny.

That's cool and all, but it sounds like "Pumpkin" is currently playing Battleship with The Grim Reaper. In all seriousness, I hope he's ok.
"You sank my battleship! Um, best two out of three."

It's not cool about my kitty though...I am really a mess over it....I can't stand thinking about it...what if a hawk got it...I'll never know. One of our other cats went missing last fall, and it still drives me crazy. I could never ever handle someone abducting my child...I'd go insane. It's the not knowing what happened part....if I knew the kitty had died...then I could deal with that. I just can't stand the idea of ..it could be out there alive right now, and not know how to get back up to my porch...and I could save it...if I could find it....I am waiting until it gets dark, and the road noise dies down, and then maybe I'll hear it crying...and I'll find it. I already took the boards off the side of my deck, incase it had crawled in a little gap under the steps. I shined a flashlight in there...and I have looked all through the flower beds, and bushes, and around my house, he's not squashed on the road.
I told the mother to get out there and find her baby...but she doesn't seem to care.

Once when I was on the golf course, I saw a hawk snag a full grown duck right out of the pond! Very scary indeed.

Well...we have red tailed hawks, and we watched one grab a squirrel from under our birdfeeder. It was awful.
I looked all night tonight, I crawled through spider webs and dirt...and could not find it. I hope it finds it's way back out on it's own. I looked to see if it fell in our pond...and nothing...what a bummer.

He is still missing. What a bummer. Boo and AC left this morning to go to their new home. I have 1 kitty left, he was the one that was the most scared. I think he'll hang with his mother. I hope so. I am leaving today to go to a resort for the night to their Autumnfest...so I hope everyone is ok. My friend is coming in the morning to feed everyone and check on them.
One of my cats was missing for a week once, and came back...but the kitties are tiny babies...they can't survive on their own.
