Yes, Cyndi Lauper was on Oz Idol tonight, she mentored the top 11 singers during the week and was a guest judge. She seemed such a sweet person, with realy good advice for the singers, teaching them how to hold their bodies to get the best out of their voices, and for a few them, how to sing through the flu. Tomorrow night she will be singing Time after time on the show, I can't wait!

Lauper's version of "Time After Time" is still a fav. Stitch, if I was in the audience tonight, I'd get everyone to start chanting "GOONIES" when she comes on stage.

About two or three years ago I saw CYNDI LAUPER at a LITE FM concert (ROD STEWART and MELISSA ETHERDIGE played too) and when she did Tiem After Time...I started to cry! It was so beautiful....her singing it live was better than even the record!

that song is on my all time favorite list.A Norwegian artist recorded some songs at that same studio. And got this story at the time:The bas player was late, and just went straight in during recording of"Time after time",and improvised. CYNDI LAUPER,was so impressed, they just kept it like that. All done on the first take..I really want to believe that story.I just love her Here as well.So refreshing jumping and so full of energy. And being able to have so much fun with her voice all the time.IMO she was maybe a bit underrated at times.
When it comes to ROD STEWART This is my favorite tune
