are any of you rewinders watching the Olympics? it's been pretty cool, in my opinion. watching the olympics was always tradition in my household, growing up. and so every 4 years i'm glued to the tv for 2 weeks.
i watched michael phelps win all 8 of his gold medals! that is so awesome, he's done such a good job.
i was also glad that raffa nadal (my favorite tennis player) has won gold for his country spain.
i also love to watch gymnastics, track & field, diving, swimming and basketball.
who else is watching??

I've been watching fairly close on NBC. I feel my viewing might fall off now that Michael Phelps is all done with his events. He along with Dara Torres in swimming along with Derrick Atkins (a fellow alumni of the same small college in ND that I attended) of The Bahamas in track and field are all done with their events. So now's the time for me to get caught up on all the movies I've been recording on DVR.

was there even an official 'song' for the olympics, this year? i forgot to check on that.
i hear ya sam, i watched dara torres as well - so proud of her.
phelps's 7th gold race was a friggin nail biter! i did not think he was going to win that race. his finger tip touched the pad 100th's of a second (however you say it)before that other guy - amazing.

Man, I was all over phelps accomplishments, too amazing for word. Torres story is great as well, my viewing will diminish after this, unless somehow Canada start to win more medals.

Well, I would love to watch, but our NBC station wouldn't grant us a waiver so we could get it on satellite, so guess what? No NBC for us! I would, however, have liked to see Phelps get all his medals. That's just awesome.

Very proud to be an Aussie during the Olympics, we are currently 3rd on the medal tally - not bad for a country of only 20 million people. Only the USA and China are ahead of us!
Today we won 3 gold medals, including one in yachting where we only had to show up in order to win!
8 gold medals for Michael Phelps is an amazing effort, but watching the footage of him, he seems a little arrogant to me... but then again, he has a right to be!

I couldn't care less! My dad watches all of it though!
The only sports I watch are Football (NFL, Go Dallas!!) K1 (martial arts shows from Japan) and Golf, because it's soothing and relaxing... especially if you have a hangover!

It's nothing compared to those 102 of the US, but hey, our country is more than a 100 times smaller as well. Nevertheless, this must be Belgiums worst Olympics ever.
I wish we could have beaten Brazil in soccer today. It's not like we didn't get enough chances. It just shows that efficiency is everything.
Cheers!

I've been watching every night! Phelps was amazing! All of it is fun to watch. You find yourself cheering for other countries at times too. This usually happens when you don't have someone in an event you are watching. It was really great fun.
The only think that really tarnished the games BADLY was the Chinese. They blatantly cheated in the gymnastics by using underage girls. Their own documents prove it and their own people have said it. The IOC just brushes it under the rug. What a disgrace! They have dishonored every other country and the spirit of the Olympics. China should be banned from the next Olympics IMO.
