Riptide, bandit, Colt 45, Rainbow Brite. I know there are quite a few others missing too.

The list is a mile long. I couldn't come on here for ages because I was too busy, and then the site went offline for a while. I think people just gradually drift away, and stuff happens in life, etc. Lot's of people just use Facebook for chatting and keeping up now too. You could PM the ones you miss?

Also Pyro and Veronica Sawyer. I have gotten in touch with Muffy Temperman through FB and Instagram. We both can agree we miss the days when the Rewind was hopping. I think after that nasty spam attack (through no fault of the admins) a lot of people still aren't aware that the site is back up running.

I know that Muffster popped in on here and asked a question a little while back. VS I haven't seen on here in a while. Seemed like the site was already slowing down before the spam attack. I think maybe the 80's nostalgia boom was just being undercut by those people most likely to experience it reaching the kids / family / health / work commitments part of their lives. And again, Facebook kinda stole a lot of people from a lot of 'themed' message boards, as people just used them for socialising, and now they can connect via Facebook.

Pyro has made quite a few posts this year, keep up
Jay Lee was a great poster who disappeared before the attack. I wonder if Kash knows we have returned.

Ya I miss Jay Lee and Spooka. Several years ago I sent her an email and she came back for a few posts. It would be great to see those two back, amongst the others listed.
Logan can you send them emails to whatever they used to setup their accounts?

English Gordo! Wait... do you think I'm a mod or something?
Spooka went onto greater things after she left here. She joined Nostalgia Critics 'Channel Awesome' as a movie reviewer (not exactly sure how she pulled that one off) and then she was involved a low scale internet drama, and long story short she left CA last year. Doubt she'd come back here. She was never into 80's stuff from a Nostalgia perspective.

My bad Logan! Yes, I thought you maybe were a mod. What I meant to say was, can a mod send out an email to people on the site, to the email address used to sign up? Or do we all have that ability too? I guess I've never looked.
Super cool on Spooka! Too bad she wouldn't come back.

Some people have emails enabled in their preferences, some don't. You can just look at their accounts and then either email them or message them.
Im not saying that she wouldn't come back, just that I imagine she's fairly busy. You could message her and see?

If you mean her stuff on here, you can use the search facility at the top of the page, and enter the user name, it'll show you comments and stuff...

I was talking about her reviews. Super cool. I'll have to check it out.
Back to the main topic, who else has been missing that we should try to get back?!

I was around before the hack/closedown happened. I just recently thought about this site while watching Valley Girl for the 700th time. Keyed in fast-rewind.com and voila! It's back!
Glad to be here again as my obsession with the 80s knows no bounds! It still was the greatest time to be a teenager and I enjoyed every minute of it from 1980-1990!!
Right now my current music fixation is centered on the Psychedelic Furs. Great band and classic songs!

Whenever you get the chance, go see them. They are a superb live act, and great people, whom I have had the pleasure of meeting several times, and have got to know Paul Garisto, the drummer, very well.

Yeah I pop in with a comment here and there when I get a spare minute. I just don't have the time lately to post topics and stuff like I used to. I've made contact with Ronnie again on Instagram. But yeah, everyone else I have tabs with on Facebook.
Anyone is free to contact me on there if you wish.

Pyro, I will send you a request on FB. If anyone else is on FB can you PM me your user name? I am still trying to match up names on FB with user names here at the Rewind! Thanks!

Alive and present, reporting for Rewind duty. I pop in from time to time, but sadly not as much as the old days. Very correct that Facebook has taken a lot of the traffic from here. We have lost a lot of O.G's over the years, but like seeing some of the new blood! Skatexedge am also a big P-Furs fan. Still listen to them constantly. There was a time when all I listened to was them, Bauhaus/Love and Rockets and Echo and the Bunnymen. All those groups really loved their Bowie. Furs singer Richard Butler has this great combination of Bowie and Johnny Rotten. His voice isn't what it used to be these days, but seeing them is still on my bucket list.

Good to be back. Thanks Pittsburghgirl! Riptide check this clip from a recent show. They've still got it and Tim Butler is one of my bass heroes/inspirations. https://youtu.be/4VxsMxPpzYgPosts: 294 | From: Arizona | Registered: Mar 2007 | Site Updates: 0

I prefer message boards so much more than social media, especially great sites like this one. I prefer talking with a group of people that all have a similar interest, versus friends online. If I want to talk with my friends, I'll call or text. I come here because I know I can discuss 80's movies and get so much more valuable information. Talking with friends about 80's movies is sometimes like talking with a six year old. You can't compare the discussions here to most discussions you'd have with the casual fan.

I used to be on this most of the day, now children and job(s) have taken a huge chunk out of OUR lives. Oh to be 27 and blogging again. I've know so many of you for so long it's scary.
