Really genuinely struggling with all the recent news about Bill Cosby. I get the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing...but this ain't looking good. I liked The Cosby Show well enough, however, more of a Cosby fan because of his earlier material....great stand up, and even loved seeing him in movies (even though most of them were horrible). Then...there's Fat Albert...I absolutely loved this show and still enjoy watching it...this show more than any other seems to take me right back to that great childhood feeling...I even have some of the action figures on my shelf.
To the point, I'm really struggling with maintaining my love of the show, given the controversy surrounding Bill Cosby. Similarly, I struggle with Hollywood/Celebrities keeping people like Woody Allen and R Kelly in high esteem...two men who have preyed on young girls...but still supported by the industry? For this same reason, for myself, feels hypocritical for me not to "dump" Cosby....but struggling to let Fat Albert go. My opinions only. Thoughts?
