I was flipping through Channels this morning...while making breakfast for my guests...and there was nothing on....MTV was playing "My Super Sweet Sixteen"....that show is horrible-how did MTV get so bad?? I am not trying to pick on today's TV....but seriously what is going on...why do they not play music videos any more...is it lack of music?. Then I flipped to the E channel and all they were talking about was Sarah Jessica Parker removing her mole, and Chloe Kardashian was sentenced to do 30 days in jail...and everyone was following her around asking her how she was going to cope with it, and how her family was coping...and they were bawling and sobbing and hanging on each other as if it was the end of the world...and then she goes in the courthouse and is in there and comes back out 4 hours later...I think that was her whole "jail"sentence.

They do play music videos some but it's usually some rap or hip hop mess (sorry rap and hip hop fans its a matter of opinion) in popular stuff. I watch VH 1 and VH 1 Classics for videos. MTV has been crap for years thats nothing new. They try to appeal to a younger generation by showing a spoiled 16 year old brat whose dad and mom gets her anything she wants for her birthday. Great way to raise em mom and dad.......

Yeah...but why don't they rename it then? Why did they change? That's what I want to know...everyone sees it and says it...but did MTV ever respond and say why it is what it is now?

I know what you guys mean. It is really bad. Do they still have that show cribs? If not you can tell how long ago It was I last tuned into that channel.
Gone are the days of 'Video killed the radio star.' I don't get it. MTV stands for Music. so where is it at?

That is what Justin Timberlake said last year at the awards, that MTV needs to spend more time showing videos. I gave him a lot of credit for saying it twice.

Speaking of Justin Timberlake, did anyone watch his hosting of the ESPYs? He was hilarious.

They should change the name to "Lametv". Even the young kids are tired of it.

How ironic that someone whose horrible music and videos MTV actually does play speaks out about their lack of videos lol......
