Yeah....I have seen a few of them. I went on a cruise to Bermuda a few years ago, and I got really bad motion sickness....I hate to fly, so we drove to New York and left from there, but this one leaves from Fort Lauderdale....the itinerary looks really awesome. Nina Blackwood is one of my Facebook friends...she has posted on my wall before. I love the movie "Vice Squad" - she is in that.

My offer still stands. If you are on this cruise to St. Thomas, let me know.

It's after the depraved Cronenberg film. I think that's all you need to know

Helen, you know me too well. Cronenberg it is! YW, it really is beautiful here, just like you see in the pictures.
Yes, I actually have a U.S. Virgin Islands driver's license. The day that I got it was one of the happiest days of my life. You see this is the Caribbean where stuff moves at a glacial pace. I had been told that it would be about eight hours at the DMV to get my license. A colleague from the office and I were determined to get our licenses one Friday so we showed up to a huge line at 8:00 a.m. We waited. Finally some guy looked at our passports, and we were told to go away because we didn't have our driving record of violations from our home states of Pennsylvania and California. Now we had talked to locals, who didn't know that this was a new requirement. Of course, it didn't say that on the USVI DMV website, and when had called the DMV earlier to find out what paperwork we needed, no one answered the phone. Defeated, we returned to the office. We were both determined to download our "uncertified" driving records from the web and return to the DMV. We did. No one actually looked at any of the paperwork--I could have typed up a fake "DRIVING RECORD--NO MOVING VIOLATIONS" on a piece of paper with my name and date of birth and given it to them--we were told to pay cash at this window, and while the sign said $56 for the license, they demanded $70. (Of course.) Finally, after three and half hours, I was ushered into a room where they took my license picture. The DMV woman spent an inordinate amount of time meticulously taping my old Pennsylvania license down to my application before punching a big hole in it to void it. She finally handed me my new, badly laminated USVI license with a cheery, "Welcome to the Virgin Islands." As I said, I was never happier in my life.
Postscript: The lamination fell off the license two weeks later, but the license is still legible. Only in the USVI because you can't make this stuff up! ROFLMAO

Lots of jokes about the Caribbean lifestyle/work ethic down here... If you are impatient or in a hurry, it will drive you completely bonkers.
