They are playing The Wicker Man here in OZ at 1:30 in the morning. That's only 45 minutes a way. Gonna have to stay up for it. It's such a brilliant/disturbing film. Anyone who has not seen it needs to check it out!

Chloe, the premise of The Wicker Man is a detective is sent to an island to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, and he runs into strange goings on. I think you'll like it. I love Edward Woodward, who is the detective.

OK, I stayed up for it last night/this morning. Man it's a messed up movie. But so clever.
Great description there Pittsburghgirl A perfect amount of information to get someone interested in watching it.
Chloe, please do check it out. It's a bit disturbing but it's not going to give you nightmares or anything.

Thank you for the complement Bernie. You're right, it is kind of a disturbing movie, but shouldn't give you nightmares.

Thoughts and Prayers to the family. Heard that a couple hours ago and it saddened me. Growing up during the wrestling hayday, got to see a lot of Piper . He was usually a bad guy so I did not like him and he got under my skin. As I got older I learned to appreciate his unique personality and eventually liked him. He was actually hilarious at times. I think They Live is around our home somewhere. Needs a watching.
Last I saw him was on the TV show Storage Wars. Barry took some kilts to Piper for an appraisal.

Hot Rod earned his position as one of the WWF's greatest villains multiple times over; he knew exactly how to make the crowds hate him with every ounce of their being. Unlike so many other great villains, he would later work equally well as a heroic figure, but with the bonus of never losing his edge (case in point, his best match in my opinion at WrestleMania VIII where he comes close to nailing Bret Hart with the bell repeatedly before coming to his senses).

They Live is a Carpenter classic and Piper gives a legendary performance in it. Very sad news indeed.
