Surinamese-Dutch filmmaker Pim de la Parra passed away at age 84.
He is best known as the director of Obsessions (1969, co-written by a then-unknown Martin Scorsese), and for producing the controversial Blue Movie (1971), which became a huge success and one of the most attended movies in Dutch film history.
In more recent years, several of his features were restored by the EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam and eventually released on blu-ray and dvd through the Cult Epics label, including the aforementioned Obsessions, Blue Movie, Frank & Eva (1973), and the excellent My Nights With Susan, Sandra, Olga & Julie (1975).

RIP Teri Garr. I think that she had a nice career, many cool movies and roles. I recently rewatched After Hours (4K release) and she was of course one of the ladies Griffin Dunne meets on his quest.
