The film Aliens (1986) is one of my top five all-time favorite films; and, BP's role as Private Hudson is one of the most iconic roles in film. I remember I & some friends trying to get into the theater to see Aliens back in Summer '86, but since we were under 17 they wouldn't let us in. I saw the film a while later on VHS tape, and was extremely impressed - it's one of those rare sequels that's actually better than the original.
BP also starred in Twister, the HBO series Big Love, and had a bit role in the original Terminator (1984) among many other roles.

Another one that I didn't believe was real until doing some more digging online. Very sad news. I really enjoyed him in movies like Weird Science (of course), Aliens, Predator 2, Tombstone, Frailty, Apollo 13....the list goes on. He was a great actor/director. R.I.P.

RIP. The Cars are one of those bands that I've often overlooked. I'll have to change that.

Sad to hear about Robert Forster's demise..
Terrific actor who played the lead in what i consider to be one of the best movies of all time : Medium Cool (1969)
Some other people we've lost over the last few months who deserve to be mentioned :
- Documentary filmmaker D.A. Pennebaker (94), best known for filming the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967
- Spanish filmmaker Narciso Ibánez Serrador (83), best known for helming the Euro-horror classics The House That Screamed (1969) and Who Can Kill A Child (1976)
- Celebrated American bass guitarist Larry "The Mole" Taylor (77), best known as a member of boogie blues band Canned Heat
- Veteran character actor Rip Torn (88)
- Professional bad-guy actor Billy Drago (73)
- Veteran actor and counter-culture icon Peter Fonda (79), who in my opinion was the personification of the word 'cool' !
- Holland's own most internationally acclaimed character actor Rutger Hauer (75)
- American actor Robert Axelrod (70), who co-starred in several of Charles Bronson's 80s actioners, including Murphy's Law (1986), Assassination (1987), Death Wish IV ; The Crackdown (1987), and Kinjite ; Forbidden Subjects (1989)
- Beloved cult actor Sid Haig (80), pretty much a legend to fans of exploitation- and cult films in general
- Eccentric British drummer Ginger Baker (80), best known as the backbone of rock-supergroups Cream and Blind Faith
