Thanx for posting J2ME as I wasn't aware. Sad to hear the news about any of these people passing away but Manuel hit me a little harder. Grew up watching him on Fawlty Towers back in the 70s and still watch it to this day. I feel fortunate to have been able to see him perform.
RIP

Not a good couple of weeks for British character actors

"London, UK - Legendary Greg Lake sadly passed away on Wed. Dec. 7th. As a founding member of King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Greg Lake has been a major force in music for over 40 years. He has long been considered a legendary voice and musical powerhouse whose impact changed the landscape of rock and roll. Many simply refer to him as 'The Voice'."

I was floored when I heard about Greg Lake. I read over on Lonn Friend's Instagram acct. that when he saw ELP in the 70's, he was amazed at Lake''s voice. Really sad news.

In the early 90's I watched Lake perform a solo, acoustic version of " From the Beginning " . Just a guitar and a microphone. The guitar and voice skill made for a unforgettable performance. RIP Greg.

That sounds like it was awesome Irwin Fletcher. I never had the opportunity to see ELP or Greg Lake perform live.

Lots of celebrities have passed away recently.
Another one was Malice guitarist Mick Zane who died on december 23. The band made two very good albums back in the 80s and you can also see them performing on stage in the 1988 movie Vice Versa.

So, Debbie Reynolds was Carrie Fisher's mom.. right ?
That's a pretty terrible way to end the year for that family.

He starred in a whole bunch of movies most of us grew up with, including Midnight Express, Alien, and The Elephant Man.
He was also in a personal favorite of mine : The Hit (1984), co-starring a sublime Terence Stamp and a young Tim Roth.
