I just came on to 2 new pm's, but when I clicked one I just got an error. And now I can't even see my list of pms, there's just this error message where they should be:
quote:Error An error has occurred:
(RequireVars) CGIPath/Members/pm_topics/S/00005138.cgi: CGIPath/Members/pm_topics/S/00005138.cgi did not return a true value at CGIPath/ubb_lib.cgi line 939.
Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you!

Got the PM, Muffy - but late last night, so I could only do a few tests, and things looked OK to me.
There are a number of places where the errors, if any, could occur. These include our servers, the internet connection to our host company, the telecoms system in their local area, stuff like power surges / brownouts, as well as code issues in any one of thousands of server components. And of course, data issues with the board software or databases themselves.
My only suggestion can be, when the error message states that a problem should be brought to the attention of the Board administrators, that this be done straight away, so that the root cause is easier to identify.
Use Webmaster@fast-rewind.com for flagging any issues.
Seems to be working OK this morning, so hopefully it's all good now.

Things do seem to be working better now..hmmmm?
I had several error messages over the last week, plus double postings because everything kept timing out and I wasn't sure if it had posted or not. But looks like we are back in business.

Helen / Crash, something does seem to be screwy with your profiles, as the PM icon doesn't appear above your posts.
I've checked your profiles out and the PM flag is set, so I need to follow this one up with Nick.

Guys - just a thought, but can you check the NUMBER of PMs you have stored in your inbox? There's a maximum of 60 allowed (combined total of inbox and sent items). Can you check this and if necessary delete old messages you don't need to keep? That might be the problem.

That's the thing Paul, we can't see our list of pms. We just see that error message where they should be. I believe I had around 30 something in there.
