Modern life and the 80's rarely cross paths on a day to day basis. So its always worth noting when something other than The Rewind hits you with an 80’s buzz that briefly takes you out of the here and now.
For me, it was hearing Simple Minds Don't you forget about me this morning, and for awhile, I was back in that library on a Saturday morning

I get the 80's buzz on many days. I'm too old (OK...my wife won't let me) decorate one of the rooms in the house with 80's images / collectables. I do, however, have my own closet, which has become my 80's shrine. So, every morning I open my closet to pick out my clothes for the day and see:
My cherished vintage ghetto baster A Rubik's Cube An ATARI Joystick An original pair of 80's 3-D glasses...with the red and blue lenses A small Breakin poster My favorite Mad Magazine...Alfred E Newman peeing in the snowing and making the numbers 1984 A vintage Yoda Star Wars Figure And a few other treasures.....
I also always have an 80's compilation music CD in the car...shamefully, some of the songs have become my four year old son's favorites...Sunglasses At Night, It Doesn't Really Matter (loves the drum solo), and Van Halen's JUMP. * I hope the kids don't pick on him too much when he goes t school!

Kash I get how a song can easily put you in a place for awhile. I brought that up on here once how I kept hearing 80s songs on store radios.
I've become the "go to guy" at work if anyone has a question about the 80s....yesterday it was "is Andrew Dice Clay dead?" I go "yeah pretty sure he's still alive" lol I'm liking that i'm known for that

I read this thread today and on the way to university today, after being in the car for about 3 minutes, Don't you forget about me came on and yep back in detention with ya. The song kind of shocks you when it comes on in a good way.
