I was wondering if anyone has plans for the 4th of July?
Tomorrow is my mom's 60th birthday, so we are having a 4th of July/party celebration on Friday night.
I am making lots of food, we are going to get out our tandem antique bicycle and take people for rides on it, and we are going to play frisbee and badminton.
I just bought a ton of fireworks to set off that night.
Does anyone else do fireworks?

My brothers neighbors shoot off hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks every year. They compete with the people who live a block away. It gets bigger every year. The best part is, it's free... It's like a war zone in my neighbor hood. The smoke gets so thick you can't see down the street!

Bandit-I cleaned out my inbox (somewhat).... I did find an email for him though, and I sent it to him this morning....I can't believe my foreign exchange student has such a cool job over there...write and let me know if you know who he is.
I spent several hundred dollars in fireworks too, my grandpa always did and my brother does it too, but he goes out of state and buys the ones you aren't suppose to have-if ya know what I mean.
We got one called "The Wrath of the Beast", it's suppose to be the biggest and best one that is legal in my state.
Last year, a guy who works with my husband....he kicked a firework that he thought was done ...and when he bent over to pick it up, it went off in his face....he lost his 1 eye from it. He's lucky he didn't die. We always have a platform that I cover with aluminum foil, and we have the garden hose standing by too.
I always worry about setting the trees on fire around my house.
I bought a bunch of 4th of July decorations.
I just hate that summer goes by so fast.

Me and my friends years ago would have fireworks wars, literally. We would throw parties, get drunk, select teams and starting shooting at eachother. Until one time my buddy got a Roman Candle shot right between the eyes. That was the end of that. Ahh...the good old days.

I'm working at the station from 4-12; since it's raining like crazy at this moment, it'll relieve the monotony.

We had so much fun for the 4th of July. We had a big picnic, we had B & B guests here for the weekend too, so they hung out with us .. we had a fun group here to do fireworks. I have an antique restored tandeum bicycle that we rode around town on, and then we played yard golf and Bocce-which I had never played before. We had a birthday cake for my mom, we set off tons of fireworks, then we made smores...it was really nice. The people that stayed with me this weekend....told me that their sons were asked to be Breakdancers in a scene in the new Transformers movie, so that was pretty cool. There is a scene they filmed in a fraternity and they are breakdancing in it...so maybe they will be in the movie.
