Why don't we have any of those here? Well some of us have a custom title but they weren't our own.

Avatars - I recall that we were having network issues a while back, and needed to keep bandwidth usage down - especially as Nick pays for all this, and bandwidth costs.... Dunno about now, so it's a point worth raising.
Signatures - to be honest, I don't know quite why they don't work, ot haven't been switched on.
Custom titles - some have them purely cos they asked. I guess if anyone REALLY wants one, then PM me. I promise nothing, but we shall see....

As Paul says, it basically comes down to money. All the bandwidth wasted just so people can quote a witty phrase at the end of all their posts or have an avatar doesn't seem worth it when it costs me something like $3,600 a year for bandwidth as it is. Plus the cost of buying a server, yadda yadda.
Last year, apart from one person who very generously gave $40 (thanks Joe and sorry I forgot!) other people donated something like $3 to the running costs of this site. This year, I think one person has donated a whole $1.
To be honest, I'm not expecting large amounts. Anything is better than nothing, but I just thought I'd give some figures to bring perspective on things like this...
I'm not complaining, just telling it like it is...

Could be a great time to remind people how they can help us to keep the site going....
http://www.fast-rewind.com/supportus.htm has a few ways that you can support the site - mainly by buying your dvds etc from the same place you already do (amazon, ebay, half.com) but going to their site from this one.... This doesn't give us a lot, but over time - if we get a lot of click-throughs - it helps out a little bit and doesn't cost you guys anything at all.
You'll also see on that page that there's a paypal link, if anyone feels moved to actually put some cash in the coffers. No pressure at all - just want to let people know it's there!
Thanks for all your support guys - whilst this site is a real labor of love for Nick and the team, we all think it's well worth it!
