Movies you buy because you want to see them, but they end up sitting on the shelf, shrink-wrapped for months on end because you just can't seem to find the time?

I actually only have a few movies that have never made it out of the wrapper. But I have had several that probably only had one viewing over the years which means I should not have made the purchase.
I do go through my old movies on occasion and donate any that I've upgraded to Blu-ray or realize I will probably never watch again. I do the same thing with old PS3 games. I always ask my co-workers if they have any interest first and I often find several takers.
No surprise .. but most of my buyer's remorse movies are not from the 80's.

Muffy, I wish I could find dvd's at the Goodwill here. All they have are vhs, and they still want $2-$3 each for them. Last year I stopped at a garage sale on my way to pick up my friend, and there was a guy who had a box load of vhs- he said he would take $3 for the whole box. I wanted them, my palms were itchin', but I just don't have the room for them and had to say no. I barely have room for any more dvd's. I don't think I really have any movies that I wouldn't watch again when I get the chance, or else I have already viewed them at least a few times.

As most of you already know, I have a three year old son which drastically limits my movie watching...but I keep buying...that little guy will be in school in a year, then...MOVIES IN THE AFTERNOON...my lifelong dream. As a result, the movies I buy accumulate quite frequently. Once in a while, I just grab an exacto knife and start opening...need to blend them in with the rest so my spending habits are not so obvious. I've created shrink wrap piles so high, I could stand on them to change light bulbs!

I have a little pile of movies on top of my entertainment center that are still in the plastic and need to be watched...Whenever I see really cheap dvd's/blu rays at Wal Mart or Target I will usually buy them but then don't watch them for a long time for whatever reason. Or sometimes I will buy something because I used to love it a long time ago and then I watch it once and never have any desire to watch it again. Like Valley, I usually go through my collection every once in awhile and either give away or sell movies that I haven't watched more than once so I can free up some space. My local library lets you rent out dvd's for free so I'm going to try and utilize that more instead of buying stuff that I probably won't watch repeatedly.
