Grr, I wanted to see that but they're not showing it in my local pit.

Just watched The Reef (2010). Decent enough shark flick, some nice tense moments.

Saw "Straw Dogs" (2011) last night. I thought it was a thought provoking movie but also extremely violent. I've never seen the original so I don't know how it compares to that.

Drive is terrific. It looks like an 80s film directed by either Michael Mann or Walter Hill. It even has a retro-style soundtrack with original songs and synthesizers.

I asked the hubby if he wanted to go see Drive, and he said NO! So it will be either Killer Elite or Abduction. I have free movie passes that I have to use by Oct. 31st.

This movie is performing badly at the US Box Office which only goes to show that our American friends in general don't have a clue when it comes to movies.

This is an outstanding movie that critics worldwide adore yet more people chose to watch Conan instead...WTF?

Fine acting and superb direction put this high up on my must watch list and if you haven't seen it yet, go...Now!!!

I didn't know it was released yet. Maybe I can get the hubby to go see it, since we are both MMA fans, and I love Nick Nolte too.

50/50 was great Ronnie! I predict an Oscar nod for Gordon-Levitt. Like Seth Rogen but think he overdoes it sometimes.

I bought Jumper (2008) on DVD early today. Hayden Christensen, Jamie Bell, Rachel Bilson, Samuel L. Jackson. Watched it and I must say, it sucks!

The alien invasion flick "Skyline" from 2010. The effects looked cool, but the story and acting is a load of crap.

Johnny English Reborn

Rowan Atkinson is funny in just about anything and he carries on with the tradition in JE:R. The way he carries his confidence when clearly he's a ****-up just makes me laugh!

Stake Land - It was alright but probably would have enjoyed it more if I'd never seen The Road, Zombieland and 28 Days later. Felt like those films edited together.

Three Musketeers in 3D

Oh dear, oh dear...

The shame of it all was that for the most part it actually managed to follow the plot of the book. The inclusion of the airships and stupid Resi Evil style stunts WERE both stupid and pointless (The airship could easily have been replaced by a real ship and the story would have lost nothing and the film better for it!) Now I liked the RE films for what they were but this was a mess and yes Milla was totally miscast in it. 3 or 4/10 because there were some (admittedly not many) good things about the film oncluding various cast members and sword choreography

The Last King of Scotland (2006)

What a great and powerful movie.
This really grabs you, it was way past midnight and i didn´t feel tired at all.
Forest Whitaker was amazing as Idi Amin, i´m glad that he won the Oscar.
Highly Recommended!

Stolen starring Jon Hamm and Josh Lucas. This was a good murder mystery/thriller set in two time periods- 1958 and 2008.

American Virgin (2009)

This was a typical modern day college comedy.
First they introduce the characters, put them in silly situations
and in the end the lessons are learned and everythings all right.
I guess that it was ok but nothing special.
