watched WHAT WE DO IS SECRET a bio film about the L.A. punk group, The Germs and the death of lead singer Darby Crash.
there were moments in this movie i really liked, but the movie as a whole, failed to impress. the music was great, and Shane West's portrayal of Crash was pretty good, he even sang the music himself for the role, Bijou Phillips was alright, ...her usual indie character type role....
6.5/10

This Film Is Not Yet Rated (2006). A fun documentary about the movie ratings system and all its flaws.

That's a great doc! Old *** Jack Valenti, who's a hundred years old, and a bunch of prudish housewifes from Encino, telling us what we can and cannot watch! What a ****ing joke!!!

Date Night--it was so funny! I'm not a Tina Fey fan at all but I really liked this movie. The dancing/stripper pole scene was too much!

A good film with plenty of laughs, just not as funny as I'd hoped it would be.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
No 80's fan should let this movie pass them by. An instant classic that had me laughing throughout with plenty of 8 bit gaming references. This years MUST SEE!!!

The Good German (2006), starring George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, and Toby Maguire.
Interesting attempt to recreate the look and feel of a 1940's movie, but the story comes up too short. A big disappoinment!

DAYBREAKERS, which my husband ended up enjoying waaaay more than I did. Even though its about vampires it was more an "Action" movie than a "Horror" movie.

I rented ALONE WITH HER to watch while my husband was on a fishing trip. It was so good I saved it for him to watch the next day. He loved it!
Its about a guy who stalks a woman and plants surveliance equipment all over her apartment (he even goes so far as to have a hidden camera on HIM at all times) so everything we see as viewers is from the persepective of hidden cameras. I was iffy about this gimmick at first but it ended up working out well and gave the film something that set it off from the other "shes gotta stalker" flicks. Highly recommended.
*And while this technically wasnt a "Horror" movie I found it very creepy, but it was "non-Horror" enough to keep my husband amused.

The Lovely Bones - it could have been a great movie, but they tried too hard to get otherworldly. When it stuck to the dad and Lindsey trying to solve the case it was excellent.
