Everybody I talk to loves this movie. I, however, couldn't get more than 1/2 hour into it before I had to turn it off. Absolutely could not take anymore. I don't even know why....just one of those things, some movies are like that for me.

I wrote a paper once on CIA's involement in the afghan-russian conflict, so the subject is interesting to me. However, I think that Julia Roberts was HORRIBLY miscast, and a real distraction! Felt the same way with Angelina Jolie in The Good Shepherd, strangely enough, another CIA flick.
And I don't even like Tom Hanks (outside of the Burbs) that much. But Philip Seymour Hoffman made this movie! Somehow this movie really did it for me. I would never have seen it, if it hadn't come on TV.

I finaly watched Quantum Of Boredom on DVD the other night....oops i meant Quantum Of Solace. jeez it was awful.the only reason that was called a Bond film is cos his name is James Bond, other than that it has no other qualities related to what a Bond movie is.And i dont mean silly gadgets or Roger Moore type quips,i mean the look of it and the scale of it.Was like a poor Bourne movie rip-off to me,especially the roof-top chase. And i notice Daniel Craig only has one expression in his acting range lol he just pouts no matter what the emotion.haha. Terrible, just terrible. I needed to watch From Russia With Love straight wawy to restore my faith in Mr Bond

The X-Files: I Want to Believe--I wanted to believe it was gonna be good. But I was disappointed. Just mediocre at best.

Pineapple Express: OK, not as funny as I thought it would be. James Franco was good doing his Brad Pitt from True Romance acting.

Public Enemies: 8/10. It lasted over 2 hours but it seemed a lot less. One of those movies that keeps you interested the entire time IMO......

Waaaaaaaaay, stupid movie, childish. Drink before watching. There were some pretty funny scenes...
"Suppose Nancy sees me coming out of the shower and decides to come on to me. I'm looking good, got a luscious v of hair going through my chest pubes down to my ball fro. She takes one look at me and goes " Oh my god, I've had the old bull now I want the young calf" and grabs me by the !@#$%^&*."

Just watched "Into The Storm" AKA/Churchill at War in the UK. It's another movie about Winston Churchill during WWII. Very well done I thought. Churchill was played by Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges, Harry Potter films, 28 Days Later etc...) He is a very good actor IMO.

Yeah, I saw it. It starts off really well and seems like it's going to be a great realistic thriller, but then it kind of falls into familiar territory in the last act and settles for formulaic action antics. Not bad, but not great either.
On a side note, Maggie Grace is embarassingly bad as Liam Neeson's daughter, trying way too hard to constantly remind the audience that she's a teenage girl and not the 25-year-old adult she is in real life.
