I watched Sam's Lake, which I thought was just gonna be an okay mystery-suspense type movie. However, exactly 54 minutes into the movie it got good. Pretty darn good. It's not the best movie I've ever seen, but if you're bored it's good for a watch.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno. The first half I thought was really funny. The second half, meh. I recognized a few things in the movie- Ralph's Army Surplus, where they pull over in the car. That place has been there forever. And of course, Monroeville Mall, where I worked a few years back. They made it look much better than it is- it's actually kinda run down. But since they filmed close to Christmas, you could see the extremely cheap and cheesy decorations that the Mall puts up every year. Even in my hometown where there isn't a whole lot of money, the decorations in the mall and the town are a lot better than an old mall here in Pittsburgh.
Anyhoo, I did like Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks together- at first I thought they wouldn't mesh. Wow, she is beautiful. Wish I looked like her. I'd give the movie a 2 1/2 out of 5 stars. Oh, loved the Tracy Lords scene where you find out why her name is "Bubbles"!

In Hell, 2003 starring Jean-Claude Van Damme....
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0339135/

Possibly Jean-Claude's finest movie ever. Gives Bloodsport a run for the money.

I watched The Wrestler yesterday. So sad. I don't want to give anything away, but I did not walk away with a good feeling afterward. You guys who saw it before me were right- it was depressing in parts.
I also watched a cheesy Lifetime movie on Ondemand, (free movies on our digital cable) called Tribute, a Nora Roberts movie. I only wanted to see it cuz Jason Lewis was init [Smile] . Unfortunately Brittany Murphy was the star. Not only is she ugly, but she seemed to have had some sort of botox or something, plut she had her lips done with perhaps collagen or whatever it is these days that they inject into their bodies.
Can I ask anyone who watches these Lifetime movies, especially the Nora Roberts ones- is it a prerequisite to have either plastic surgery or botox plus the phony looking lip injections prior to filming? I remember that movie last year that Heather Locklear was in and her face looked horrible!

I think Sweeney Todd would be a good movie were it not a musical. I've never cared for musicals.......

War Of The Worlds 2: The Next Wave. Directed by and starring C. Thomas Howell. This thing was soo bad, the acting terrible by all, yet I just couldn't turn it off [Razz]

Speaking of JCVD, JCVD is a great movie, excellent monologue by the man himself. Van Damme can actually act: who knew?

Not as good as the book, but movies rarely, if ever, are. I found this one to be quite entertaining.

I just saw Star Trek (2009) and Angels & Demons...

Star Trek - 9/10
Angels & Demons - 8/10

You REALLY need to see Star Trek in an IMAX theater if possible. It's incredible.
