Has anyone seen this movie yet? It looks like another good coming-of-age flick. Let me know what you think if you've seen it.

From the trailer... that looks *nothing* like the 80's. 1980 maybe.

I have this up next in my Netflix DVD queue .. not available until later this month.. but I'm on it.
Logan.. I thought the same thing about it .. probably my Zanadu memories from that early 80's experience.
Early 80's with a 70's hangover?

It appears to be dramatic and not quirky. Let me know Valley, how NOTHING like the 80s it is? I love the idea of the whole skating thing, but that would be because I lived at the skating rink as a kid. Hope it's good!

I watched Skateland last night. First off, it is a drama, not a comedy. It is set in 1981 I believe. So for you "80's" fans, it is not going to be for you. In the early 80's some people were still wearing 70's style clothes. The movie itself was okay- not bad for a first time director. But I don't think any of you will like it. I could totally relate to a lot of the characters and action in the movie though. And the place where we went to skate when we were kids was named Skateland too!

Pitts, I forgot to mention that I tried watching this movie and I thought it blew.. I shut it off hahahaha. Funny, I had completely different hopes for it, and it just didn't work out. Ah well!
