Oh for pity's sake. So if I read it correctly there's gonna be more of a Jason focus...but wasn't Mama the killer in the original??

Yeah Petty, you are right on the money there..should be pretty good,as long as they don't decide to remake 'em ALL!!

Since Bay is involved with it, it'll last like 3 hours and have random car explosions all through it......

Okay if they actually remake the original I hope that they go back to the route of horror films instead of computer animated type stuff. It is much more life like with makeup and actually making the actors act. I would be on board for this one. Maybe they will have some cameos from people who have been in the previous ones. Wasn't their 10 all together?

Well, I am glad to hear it will be Jason and not Mum. Though I agree with Jessie, no computer graphics please, just man with sharp objects and cheap looking blood. They could do a lot with this one as long as they don't wig out with fancy camera work and special effects.

I don't watch horror movies anyway, but I am DEFINITELY not interested in anything Michael Bay would do.
If Michael Bay ever had the chance, he could remake the two-hour non-stop talkathon "My Dinner With Andre" (1981), and fill it with chase scenes, explosions, jet fighters, shootings, fight scenes, car/truck/bus crashes, buildings being blown up, etc. (Well, at least people won't sleep through it though! )

the problem is that in Michael Bay's eyes an explosion is the final solution to everything. He wouldn't know how to turn out a good story if his life depended on it. Car chases and explosions are both great in my opinion but you need someting of substance to get you to that point instead of just another explosion.

I agree whole heartedly with the exception of TCM which IMO is the only good thing he's ever did. It's like 10 minutes into a Bay movie random explosion, then 20 minutes, then 50 minutes then finale with no style or substance or reason at all for the explosions. He must have MacGyver doing his special effects......
