Out this Tuesday, April 21 to anyone who wants to rent or buy it. The Best Buy here has the regular DVD for $16.99 and Blu-ray is $25.99. We had a Circuit City about half a mile away from Best Buy. Since they shut down, Best Buy's prices seem to have spiked upwards pretty sharply. No competition close by.......

I think I'll nab a copy of this one...don't buy too many current movies...focus mostly on buying 80's stuff or earlier classics....but I liked The Wrestler alot...so...I'm in. Many stores now are offering new releases for a much lower price on it's release date...a one day only sale...so I should be able to get it for $15 - $17.

I've had the DVD for a while. It's a good movie, and, it's insightful about how wrestling works, but, it's depressing...

Depressing is correct. Typical plot summaries will take you on a roller coaster ride, with ups and downs throughout the movie.....this one is all....dowwwns....with one or two short lived moments where you think...only for a second...things are gonna get better....it didn't fit at the end when he won the lottery, got married, and moved next to Hulk Hogan's mansion in the Hills.....

Hee hee jdoc. Wouldn't a documentary on Randy Savage have told the same story...coulda saved a bunch a money using all the old footage...and Randy would have signed over the rights for a 24 pk of beers!

Not just Randy Savage, the movie could have been about Lex Luger too. He's like 170 pounds nowf from what I heard.
I saw it in the theater when it came out and I liked it quite a bit. Haven't picked up the DVD yet. What are the extras like? Please tell me there is some alternate endings or something like that.
