So of this years big movies, which one do you really NEED to see...
I'm not going to see any of them because Army cinemas get them 3 months after the rest of the UK and I'll be in afghanistan when the blockbusters hit (although POTC3 was awesome when I saw it at a german cinema last night!!!)
My money's on Spiderman 3

Seen Spidey 3 - and I quite liked it, although I can see why a lot of my colleagues didn't. They try and squeeze a lot of story into the movie, and there are a few places where it didn't quite work. That and the extremely gratuitous US Patriotism scene where Spidey swings past a huge US flag - how much cheese can you swallow in one bite?
Enjoy though - I did.

Come on Paul...can you even remember a summer blockbuster movie that didn't have a gratuitous shot of the American Flag in it? I certainly can't...

I'm looking forward at Pixar's Ratatouille. Since it looks like the merger with Disney hasn't affected company quality yet, this should be rather good (the guy who did The Incredibles is directing this one).

Not seen Spidey 3 yet, but having seen the first two a few times I remember similar 'God bless America' closing shots. I think 'Live Free Or Die Hard' will probably take the cake for cringe worthy flag waving this year.
Pirates 3 was good fun, quite confused at times (since they were literally making it up as they went along--they began shooting before the script was finished).

"Ratatouille" is a definite must on my list. I guess I'm just a sucker for films with talking, animated rodents. ^^;;
I also plan to see "Shrek The Third", since I liked the other two.
"Nancy Drew" looks good as well, & I think it won't do any injustice to the books (some of which I own, BTW).
I think I might also wanna see "Evan Almighty"; the original was OK, which certainly helps things.
Those are my summer flicks, anyway. As for fall & winter, we'll see where it goes...

I want to see the new Die Hard movie. Is Pirates 3 better than 2? Cause I couldn't sit through it.

The Transformers movie looks good. It's a shame I've never seen the original cartoon movie or the series, though. I really ought to.

I've been waiting for this movie for 20 years. Now it's finally happening! Not fully sold on the 3D angle...but, hey...I'll jump that hurdle when I get to it! Lol!
