Has anyone seen this gem from a couple of years ago? Its a film noir set in a modern day high school, which appears to be empty for the most part. Joseph Gordon Levit turns in a stellar performance as the everyman PI trying to piece together what happened to his ex-girlfriend. They speak in 1940s film noir style, but its played straight so works well. One of those movies you either love or hate.

I think I remember seeing parts of this movie late one night. It was pretty good what I saw but didn't really follow it much due to watching it in bits and pieces. Wasn't Levit the kid from 3rd Rock From The Sun?

"Brick" is a stellar flick. Old school film noir meets modern day high school. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an underrated actor. Also, cool to see "Solar Babies" Lukas Haas all grown up playing a lampshade character similar to The Duke of New York.
Fightertown, I loved "The Lookout" as well.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is teaming up with the quirky Zooey Deschanel for a new movie that should be entertaining.
