I rode a Scorcher as a kid.. my friends would actually marvel at my ability to survive wicked stunts/wrecks unscathed .. scary stuff when I think back to those days.
This is no joke though.. my best friend to this day almost died when he was 6 when he crashed head first trying a homemade ramp jump... I remember my older brother telling me that the doctors told his parents that he had so much swelling that the prognosis was not good. He made a full recover and might be the biggest risk taker I've ever known..

I had Raleigh Super Tuff Burner with Skyway tuff 2 mag wheels and oval competition tubing it was the mutts nuts.
One of my mates broke his ankle riding his bmx off a garage roof.

The two most desired bikes of my youth... Raleigh Burner and Grifter XL.
I had a raleigh back in 1983 - a black one. My best friend at the time had a Pirahna with heavy duty spokes. Most sort after around where i lived was a fox or a mongoose.

Also one of my other mates used to race for Redline bmx which meant all his bike gear was free.Nothing makes you more jealous as a kid than to have a friend with all the best gear,only to know he was getting for free.
