Did anyone get involved in drama class during high school in the 80's?
For 2 years in high school, Drama class was compulsory, it was a component of our English class. While I didn't get involved with any of the productions the school put on, I did do a few sketches and skits as part of our class.
The most memorable for me was the sketch were I played the character of "Tom Cruise" (this was 1986 - height of Top Gun fever). A date with me was the 2nd prize in a raffle, which was won by a girl named "Fruit Tingle"!
To get into character, I slicked back my hair, wore a pair of sunnies, and borrowed my dad's suit - a purple jacket and pants combo, with a lavender shirt and purple paisley tie! (My dad was still a little stuck in the 70's, I guess)
For another sketch my friends Joe, Russell and I played three guys who were vying for the affections of a mysterious girl who worked in an icecream store. That girl's name? Sarah Jessica Parker!

Yep, I was in loads of stuff at school. We made up our own sketch's / plays. I went onto to study theatrical make-up at college.

I was in a bunch of stuff as well. In high school I had a role in Grease and in college it was plays like Guys and Dolls, Cabaret and Fiddler on the Roof. I miss it so.
Anyway, hopefully our budding drama student Spooka Lupa will chime in any time....

I wish, I was Doody, who I'm not even sure is in the Grease movie. My sister lucked out and played Sandy!
