Anyone remember these? great fun until they sprung a leak. The cowboy and horse (bucking bronco) was a classic.
Hey dude, you're an acarde wizard with those 3D games...
And the best thing is you look so cool playing them...yeah, real cool
Loved the post Tomytronic 3D disorientation, as if you've just endured some kind of Clockwork Orange-esque aversion therapy and abruptly returned to reality.
And who could forget the humble handheld?
This always looked good and was eminenetly playable, even if you knew, deep down, that it was actually a bit bollocks, and you'd rathur play a real arcade machine.

OK, so its early 90s, but the Barcode Battler deserves a mention: A bit of a non-starter, clever idea in that everyday barcodes could be scanned to create power up for in-game chracters.
The only time a sentence like: "I've got to ensure Voltron is victorious over the Mangler, and I haven't a moment to lose...Hand me that tin of beans!" could make any sense whatsoever.
Lights, lights, sound, the illusion of speed and a static picture of a car or spaceship. Genius: Its the Tomy race and space turbo.
Ninja Gun: A throwback to the 80s...the 1880s that is. This quaint, beautifully made machine always looked out of place in the arcades with its slightly faded, painted sets and some real pop up targets.
OK...

Man, I remember these! And I had the basketball and the crab one too. I wanted to post about these a while ago, but I had no name what to call them. Glad someone finally did.
