This weekend I seem to be going through my archives watching 80's wrestling stuff, one thing I wish in the 80's is that I could have seen stuff from the smaller promotions like World Class wrestling, Georgia, Florida instead of just WWF. I really need to get some videos of Fabulous Freebirds vs. Von Erichs, Bruiser Brody etc. I guess I really miss old time wrestling right now, the promos, everything. I feel totally alienated with all this new WWE stuff, and can't get into UFC at all. Maybe I'm old fashioned or something.

I can't get into the new stuff either. I watch TNA Wrestling some but the WWE is terrible. I wished they'd release all the old school stuff on DVD. I know they released the Wrestlemanias in box set volumes but I'm talking about Royal Rumbles, Summerslams, NWA's Starrcades, Great American Bashes, Crockett Cup Tournaments, Bunkhouse Stampedes, etc. I used to have all the old WWE pay per views on tape but wore them out lol. Remember the Von Erichs and Texas wrestling? I think like 7 out of the 10 wrestlers were Von Erichs. I remember the NWA having their wrestlers do promos for a particular stop while the date, location and time was flashing in front. Aah the good ol days.........

I'm not a wrestling fan, and I certainly don't see the appeal of the UFC phenomenon either.
That said, I do remember watching those WWF late-night on Saturdays on NBC.
Recently, I bought a GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling) video on DVD. Kinda interesting, considering that one of them (Tiffany Mellon) turned out be porn starlet Tyffany Million!

$125? Ouch, I think calling up my silkscreen buddy might be a better option. And in the future I just hope some nice company will release a Freebirds DVD.

If you guys don't subscribe to WWE 24/7 you should definately look into it. For less than $10 you get hours of shows from WWF/WWE, NWA/WCW, Florida, AWA, WCCW(Texas), Calgary Stampede, and more. I had over 5,000 wrestling DVDs before I got 24/7 and now I'm almost at 8,000.

I miss hearing Jesse Ventura's color commentary. I still say he was the best ever. I caught part of a WWF video awhile ago where The Ultimate Warrior was doing a pose off with Ravishing Rick Rude and listening to Jesse rip the Warrior was just hilarious.
