I don't know why this popped into my head today:
Remember Jams? Those stupid big shorts guys used to wear in the '80s???? They were like a cross between boxer shorts and pajamas and they usually were in really wild colors and patterns that matched absolutely NONE of your shirts???
This was one of the only '80s fashions I DIDN'T like!!!! I cant help but wonder if they are ever coming back though. Ha ha ha.

Yup. They are still big today. The difference is, they aren't so flashy anymore. Really, if you think about it, jams started the big shorts thing here in the U.S.

Oh yeah. I loved the Jams. Also had the matching flashy shirts to go with them.

I cant believe you found shirts to match! LOL! The best combos I remember were like wild purple jams with a METALLICA t-shirt or an ANTHRAX t-shirt (ANTHRAX somehow managed to pull off the jams look pretty well)

Girls wore jams too! I had yellow ones with like this crazy big pink flower design and I'd wear a light pink tank top with them. I got them at, get this, Kids R Us!! Hahaha...I'll never forget that store. It was 80's heaven. All pastel colors and there was thing called a Dream Machine I remember where you could press the button and all these cloud lights would light up and it would tell you something...anybody remember this??

You know what amuses me? All my daughters girl friends wear boxer shorts now! I used to buy mens boxer shorts and wear them as shorts as a teenager (a smaller version of jams!)and now - POOF! They all do it. I feel like such a pioneer!

I hate boxer shorts. As Kramer once said "My Boys Need A House."

I remember them the same way as mamamia...with the concert t-shirts and the crazy patterns. I never liked them either.
I really think there were so many cool "looks in the 80's".
I hate boxer shorts on guys too...I just think it would feel weird to wear a pair of shorts under a pair of pants...

How about thongs on men? I HATE that! (Somebody PLEASE tell my husband I HATE that - every anniversary and Valentines Day he trys to "surprise" me by wearing butt-floss!)

I guess we have The CHIPPENDALES Dancers to blame for that one! Guys thought "Hmmmm....well, if women scream and throw money at THEM when they were thongs...maybe it'll work for ME too!"
NOT!
