Watching some old basketball films of Magic and the Lakers versus Larry Bird and the Celtics, maybe the best sports rivalry of the 80's. Noticed how high the socks were, just exactly when did the socks start coming down?

Good one Pauly!! That is a good question. I wonder when people deemed that geeky to wear your socks that high. Obviously it was late 80s early 90s I would say.

I played soccer with a dude back in my middle school days who still wears those hip wading socks to this day with shorts. I just saw him this past summer and as we were talking it was all I could do to not bust out laughing.......

Last summer, I played softball with my socks pulled up, and a lot of people made a big deal about it. They said that this isn't 1940's ball or something, like Pee wee Reese used to wear sock lke that.
