He would have been 36 today!! Can you believe it. He has been gone almost 13 years. What a shame such a talented guy had such a short life.

Gosh. Has it been 13 years already? I went through this River Phoenix faze when I was younger. I even became a vegetarian for all of two days. He was talented...it's a shame he's gone...he could still be making movies.

Can you imagine what he would have accomplished. Can anyone think of roles that he would have been superb for if it weren't for his untimely death?? I was kind of thinking about Leonardo's role as Frank Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can. I think he would have been great in that one...

I still get down just thinking what River could have done in his career. He no doubt would have been an activist still, trying to make the worl a better place. I also think he would have done some amazing roles, maybe making it more competitve for roles Johhny Depp and Dicaprio snagged. Something tell me too he would have had a credible music career by now too, probably being best buds with Pearl Jam and such. It's a shame he's not here, I'm sure he would have been knocked out too by little brother Joaquin's role in I walk the Line.

My sister and I were talking about River Phoenix just the other day. It was so sad when he passed away. So young and talented. Taken too soon.
