Would you advise getting it now that its on DVD? I wasn't a heavy watcher when it was on (I do remember the clip shown in pretty much every show montage of him taking a missile full to the chest), but it does look like they did a reasonable enough job with the property.

I watched the show when it originally aired and I thought it was pretty cool. I also bought season 1 and watched it all in a couple of days. The shows are very low budget, but it wasn't bad for what they had to work with. The next two seasons are much better, especially since they replace the actor playing Superboy. Gerard Christopher does a much better job and they start bringing in some cool bad guys like Bizarro. Stacy Haiduk is awesome as Lana Lang. The F/X are pretty cheesy, but if your taste is anything like mine that would be a reason to get it! Season 3 was by far the best of the series and in season 3 there was a 2-part episode called "Roads Not Taken" which was very good... it sends Superboy to some alternate realities where he meets other versions of himself, some good and some evil. He also meets other versions of Lex Luthor. Those two episodes to me where the highlight of the whole series.
