With Easter close by, who remembers this early 80s holiday special featuring the Paas egg dye characters, narrated by Ray Bolger and written by Rankin/Bass writer Romeo Muller that saw frequent airings on HBO throughout the decade? I'll admit the villainous Tin Whiskers scared me half to death, a perfect example of how mechanization can dehumanize us, and thus it was a relief when he did regain his humanity at the end (Muller always believed it better to reform the villains rather than kill them off). I can see a resurrection theme with the titular character experiencing near death falling down a well (made more terrifying with Bolger shrieking "NNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" over the action as if he's being torn apart by winged monkeys again) and returns to consciouness again at the end, my first introduction to the healing power of laughter in the media.
