I watch my "VH-1 Classics" channel because it show great videos we don't get to see anymore.
I watch the "Food Network" because it's fun watching other people cook great things when I can't even make toast.
I watch "Sleuth" because they show "Miami Vice", "Knight Rider", "The A-Team", and "The Equalizer".
I watch the "Sci-Fi" channel because it plays the original "Battelstar Galactica" series (which I have on DVD) and often has Bruce Campbell nights wher ethey play a bunch of his movies in a row.
Out of the 100 or more channels I have on my digital cable box, I only watch these few.I can't belive that there are so many different kinds of channels, from just wrestling, to just fishing to just cartoons. Geeze, when I was a kid I had to wait until Saturday morning or afterschool to watch programming for kids. Things sure have changed!
Anybody else have favorite channels?

I know - I watch very few of the channels I get (must do a count over the weekend, but I'd guess something like 400 channels on sattelite...)
UK TV Gold / People - comedies and the best motor show on TV, Top Gear
Discovery Channel, History Channel - stuff like Time Team, Extreme Machines, Battleground.
BBC3 - Comedies
Food and Makeover channels
The ones that get me are those that are real 'niche' channels - like the 24 hour catwalk fashion show channel, the wrestling channel, the Bangladeshi soap opera channel, and all those selling me crap (how long does it take to show me a single gold bracelet? Thirty-seven minutes, that's how long)

I watch hardly any TV at all. I thought I'd be watching it constantly with Direct TV. I can't even figure out what is playing on each channel anymore. The only channel I watch at night is HGTV. I love Freestyle (where they decorate a house, and use whatever the people already have), I love Cash in the Attic, cause they take stuff out of someone's house they don't use, sell it at an auction, and they use the money to make over a room in their home, which is so cool, cause I love Auctions. I also love "Designed to Sell", I think they give out the best tips on decorating, and I like the designer on there, she is really good.
Other than that, I skim through channels at night, sometimes I'll find a movie, other than that, I put the music channel on and that's it.
I use to watch the Food Channel more than I do now...I liked some of the people on there, but they have over done them and commercialized them so much, that it isn't as cool any more. I like the show "Semi Homemade" with Sandra Lee.
I am not sure what show he hosts on the Food Channel, but I love Jim O'Conner...he goes around to different restaurants and shows how things are made, he's funny.

I like VH1 and E!. Lately I have been watching the BBC channel for it's make-over shows like WHAT NOT TO WEAR (Making over people) and all those fix-up-your-home shows. TLC (The Learning Channel) also has these kinds of shows, WHAT NOT TO WEAR and TRADING SPACES, stuff like that.

Oh...I do watch the Gameshow Network too, when MatchGame PM is on, I watched 2 shows back to back last night. How could I forget that, I loved all the celebrities on Match Game, and Gene Rayburn was cool.

I used to watch BBC America all the time because the makeover shows were so good. I liked "Changing Rooms" which is "Trading Spaces" in America, but it came out first, and "House Invaders".
I don't get to watch TV much anymore because of school and tons of homework. My boyfriend and his buddies watch RAW on USA every Monday though, and once and awhile I watch it.
I rememeber when there were only like 4 cable channels and they played movies 24 hours a day while all the other channels went off at like midnight and played infomercials.
It is amazing how many channels are out there today, and there is always something on at any giving moment, but I'm usualy not interested in it.

-Occasionally I'll watch Logo (Although I'm not gay, I do have to say that they have some great music specials and movies on there, and I also like the various Graham Norton series).
Diverse, isn't it?
Sincerely,

My mom just said to me tonight...she said, we just got all those movie channels free for 3 months and there's nothing good on any of them.
I said, no kidding, that's why when the 3 months are up, I am not pay for any of them, cause I knew there was nothing on them.

Usually the way they do here when they have the free movie channels is they show tons and tons of the best movies. After the free preview is up and they've suckered alot of people in, then they start playing like the same 2 or 3 awful movies in rotation constantly...
I watch alot of:
Comedy Central AMC History Channel A & E (for mainly the crime shows) Court TV (for only the crime shows) VH-1 VH-1 Classics ESPN Speed Channel HBO (only when The Sopranos are on. Thank God they're coming back soon!)

Well if they are playing the best of the best for my 3 months free, then I don't know what to say to that.

Excellent program - it must be great being paid to be bitchy about how bad a woman's dress sense is....

I only have your standard old style cable. I can always find something to watch. I like A&E for the crime shows (City confidential, American Justice), VH1, E, Discovery, OLN (I like the Outdoor Investigations, while my husband watches anything to do with fishing), Comedy Central, Spike, OMG there's so many, I can't remember all the channels that I watch. There is one channel that we get, which is a complete waste of air time and my money- it is called "i" and all it is are those stupid infomercials, most with that creepy looking guy who resembles Steve Buscemi. We could have so many other channels, but they give us that waste instead. Plus I watch a lot of shows in prime time on the standard networks.

I'm not really into Al Gore's channel "current". Not sure what the point of it is because it's so random and boring.
MTV stinks because they quit playing music, and when they do it's the same 8 crappy videos that they play at odd times during the day between their crappy programs.
