I have to go with The Cars. Always liked that it was sung by the late Benjamin Orr instead of Ric Ocasek. I also feel that I Can't Drive 55 is one of the most grossly overplayed songs of the 80s

Drive gets my vote as well, I always get in a trance when I hear that, the same with ZZTop's Rough Boys.

I'll take The Cars as well. Sammy with Van Halen was much better than his solo stuff (of course not as good as David Lee Roth.)

Sammy Hagar can drive over 155 m.p.h. off a bridge, as far I'm concerned. What a jerk!
A better comparison should've been between:
"Drive" by the Cars vs. "She Drives Me Crazy" by Fine Young Cannibals.
i think i would still vote for the cars. i wasn't a huge fan of that particular FYC song.
