I play a little guitar myself, but I lack the talent to be any good.

Nonsense...Keep practicing and it will come. I've been playing now, on and off, for 23 years. I had a stretch for about 5 years where I didn't play much at all. About 2 years ago I started playing again almost every day. Now I am playing stuff from Steve Vai, Eric Johnson and other greats, as well as my own stuff. Remember to start slow and the speed will come faster.

You’re right. It’s probably just a matter of commitment. I admit that lately I don’t play very often anymore. So there you have it already. I can’t expect it to improve without decent practice. But I ain’t giving up..
Thanks for the advice. I’ll keep that in mind.

Yeah, this is great. I have all the G3 DVDs. They're all awesome.

That was the weirdest version of Bach’s 'Air on the G string' (what’s in a name) I have ever heard. (To me) that tune is forever connected with Se7en. “How’s this for culture?”
As for Yngwie… Amazing! Hats off if you can play like that. But I’m afraid it’s not exactly my cup of tea.
