Well...Where to start. I have been fortunate enough to see Korn in January, The Cure in March (A - MAY - ZING)....Neil Diamond on Tuesday...then The Mighty Blue Oyster Cult...who I totally had the pleasure of meeting (I have a photo AND autographs).
Next week, I will see the 80's extraviganza that is Whitesnake and Def Leppard in the same venue...then the week after that...Journey.

OMG! I'm so jealous! I love going to concerts and these acts are all a little slice of heaven. You'll have to give us some reviews of what we missed. Also, let's see that photo of the Blue Oyster Cult...
Classic!

Get out! Im going to see NEIL DIAMOND too! (August)
I went to see IRON MAIDEN last night (great show, although I was totally hung-over today -ugh!) for the second time this year.
I have been trying to put a little money aside for an AC-DC show thats supposedly coming up.

Earth Angel,
You're having a great summer! Can I live vicariously through you? I might get to see ZZ Top! I hope so...
Have a great time at the other shows...

That's awesome you saw Maiden. I only saw them once 22 years ago. I was going to go to that show yesterday but something came up. I'm sure I missed out.

For her birthday, I got my wife tickets to see three '80s chart-toppers, Cyndi Lauper, the B-52's, and Joan Jett. I LOVE ROCK n' ROLL, so Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were my favorites, and they came onstage first. The B-52's did their thing, and, let me tell you, they are hot as ever. Cyndi Lauper was dancing all over the stage, out into the crowd, and ended the concert with a killer set of old and new material. Check out my wife's pictures at Photobucket or on Myspace.com ! !
Tawny also won 2 tickets to see Huey Lewis and the News this summer. I thought Huey sounded just as good as ever singing his '80s hits, and his new songs are incredible. There are photos on my wife's Myspace page someplace. Make friends with us there. Tawny has a page at myspace.com/tawnytootsieroll. Mine is myspace.com/crushnote.

It's just a shame that despite playing a small venue (2000 ppl), it was still only 3/4 full - if that. Ah well.
Deep Purple coming up next month. \m/ \m/
Where did you go to see them??? I was at the Forum....ON MY OWN!!!! hahah loser....my friend totally never made it.
and YES....Duckie Dale....I do have the coolest friends to take me to that lot.....you are the best

Van Halen w/ DLR......they were flawless, Eddie was on fire and ripped it!
Motley Crue/Crue-Fest......never heard Vince sound so good. He usually slacks bigtime on live vocals, but surprisingly he sounded great. Tommy brought out the T*tty-Cam and the band rocked it as usual.

Last night I saw the Guitar God himself, Yngwie Malmsteen, live for the first time. All I can say is WOW! This is the best live show I have ever been to....and I've been to alot. What he can do with this instrument is mind boggling, not to mention his antics on stage. I'll be seeing him again when he comes to my area again. Ripper Owens was on vocals which was a nice surprise. They did a couple songs from their new album, Perpetual Flame, which has a bit of a different sound than his vintage stuff, but awesome. I didn't get to meet him like Miss Mancini would have, but it was a heck of a time!
I just found these clips on youtube from the show I was at last night:

Wednesday night as a Halloween present to myself I went to see the Sisters of Mercy for the first time. It was an older crowd which was nice not to have moshing teens in your face for a change. They played a lot of new stuff I have never heard before. Apparently they have tons of newer songs, but due to some record company dispute they can't releae them or something. Anyways, you could always dance to their songs and the place started jumping when they started playing their classics like Lucretia, Dominion/Mother Russia, and they closed with Temple of Love. As far as dark bands go, Bauhaus, NIN, and Killing Joke are still tops with me, but it was nice to see them once. "Hot metal and methadrane."
