Hi! I really want to know what is the name of the song played when Baby goes to Patrick's room (he is sad) and then they dance and kiss for the first time. The song isn't in the soundtrack and I really like it. Thanks!!!!

Cry to me. Not sure of who the artist is... possibly Solomon Burke
When your baby leaves you all alone And nobody calls you on the phone
Don't you feel like crying? Don't you feel like crying, like crying, like crying? Come on, baby, cry to me
When you're all alone in your lonely room And there's nothing but the smell of her perfume
Nothing could be sadder than a glass of wine alone Loneliness, loneliness, it's just a waste of your time But you don't ever, you don't ever have to walk alone, you see So come on, take my hand, come on, walk with me
When you're waiting for a voice to come In the night and there's no one
Come on baby, that's right, cry to me Yes, I want you to come on, baby, come on, come on, cry to me I want you to come on, baby, come on, come on and cry to me Yeah, come on, baby, come on, I want you to cry, cry, cry to me Yeah, I want you to cry, cry, cry...

They also do not have that one song they danced to in the first dance scene, I believe by Otis Redding. Why do movies do that?

Evilash, both of these songs are on the More Dirty Dancing soundtrack. There was the one that came out around the time the movie was first released and then when it became such a big hit, Columbia I believe, decided to cash in and release an additional soundtrack including all songs that weren't on the first. I was thrilled cause, in my opinion, those were some of the songs I liked the most or were the most memorable for me from the film.
I will tell you that the second song title you're looking for by Otis Redding is "Love Man." Great tune!! I'm sure you're can get these soundtracks realively cheap. Good luck!
