A couple of months ago, I was listening to my personalized Yahoo radio; among the endless songs was "Crushed By The Wheels Of Industry", by none other than the Heaven 17. And I'm thinking to myself, "OMG, isn't that that band named after that one in 'A Clockwork Orange'?" (I had gotten the movie on DVD, so that's how I figured it so easily, though that goes without saying...)
I took a listen to some of their other songs, & now, I absolutely love these guys! Their albums go for good prices on Amazon, so I should be getting them shortly...Anyway, their music is so whimsically delightful. I wonder if there are any other fans lurking around here...

You need to register (free) to see all the site, but there's a whole load of information there - and the news that the band are still together and still touring!

I have a few albums by them, I think Penthouse and Pavement was the best. I think some members of Heaven 17 were in the original incarnation of Human League before they split and got the two girls in the band.
We don't need this Fascist groove thing was a popular song as well.

I did hear something about the Human League ties. Very fascinating to know that, actually, since I'm also a fan of their music, too. ^_^

I have the 12 inch of Let Me go somewhere. They take up a lot of space, as do laser discs. But they are sure fun to look at.

Tell me about it; my mom still has a lot of her old 80's vinyls. ^_^
