I was the mall last week and I was looking in a store called Gadzooks. Are any of you familiar with it? They sell alot of trendy clothes and accessories for girls so I thought I'd check out the selection. Man, it was totally 80's style inside. There were all kinds of striped shirts and tube tops, leggings, shirts with little hearts and stars all over them . I was in heaven but the best part of all was when I realized they were playing "Angst In My Pants!" I about died! What are the chances you'd hear that song while shopping in 2006 ?!? I then proceeded to go to some other stores and there I heard Foreigner and Hall & Oates! Just goes to show you that it's not just us on the Rewind that know 80's music was great and still holds up after all these years! I doubt we'll be hearing Linkin Park at the mall in 2036!

When I left my house today and got in the car..2 seconds down the road..."I Melt With You" came on, you know it's on the Rewind DVD, and I had just been watching it, so that was like freaking me out, like fer shur and then some.

I love hearing stories like that. Especially when you hear something you don't hear every day. I flipped when I heard that awesome intro for Timex Social Club's rumours recently in a store. And I think I once metioned that my jaw dropped when I heard Modern English's I melt with you played in muzak form in a strip mall. That was surreal.

I do get a charge out of those songs being played in some of the stores I go into. I hear Hungry like the wolf at Walmart every once in a while.
