I've been listening to various Apollonia 6 songs, & I was thinking which ones are your faves. I like all of them, but my most favorite is...Sex Shooter!
As for solo, I like Since I Fell 4 U.

I can't say that I'm familiar with Apollonia 6's work, but I am familiar with Vanity 6. My favorite song by them is "He's So Dull"...It sort of reminds me of myself, but its' bounciness can make me try and improve myself.
Sincerely,
John Kilduff

Looking for their stuff, is their a best of, or do you have to get the albums themselves?

My favorite song from APPOLONIA was Since I Fell For You and my favorite song from VANITY 6 was Nasty Girl.
I always wondered why they called their groups VANITY 6 and APPOLONIA 6 when the groups only had 3 chicks in 'em! Hahaha
Refresh my memory - what was the story with why PRINCE replaced VANITY with APPOLNIA? Was it because VANITY refused to do nudity in the movie???

Do you really want me to answer this question?
Ha...ok the group was originally suppose to be called "The Hookers", after the arrive of the girl we later would know as Vanity, Prince renamed the group Vanity 6. With the number 6 representing the number of breasts in the group. Very classy I know.
"Nasty Girl" is still a fav song of mine, it always makes me think of the movie "Private School".
Oh and the replacement for movie. I'm not sure if it was the nudity or just the fact that they broke up or both. Vanity did a 360 and found religion a few years later as well. So probably only her and Prince know the true. Or maybe that Morris Day character who stole the movie in my opinion.

Nasty Girl makes me think of BEVERLY HILLS COP. Theres a scene in a strip club where its playing. I bought the BEVERLY HILLS COP record as a kid and was miffed to find that song WASNT ON THERE!
PURPLE RAIN is a movie I have seen a million times. NOW as a grown up I think its not a very good movie (unless you are a really big PRINCE fan) and whenever I find myself watching it and think "why am I watching this again?" I remember "Oh yeah, cuz Morris Day is such a hoot!" Why Morris Day did not become a bigger star I will never know (I know he has a fan basis, but I thought he deserved even MORE fame than he got).
I went on IMDB to look for the "why was Vanity relaced" answer and di not come up with anything....except that PRINCE oiginally wanted Vanitys stage name to be "******"! She objected (wouldnt YOU?!) and so he called her VANITY.
I always thought APPOLONIA was prettier than VANITY but there are movies and pictures I've seen of VANITY where she is quite fetching. I just always thought based on how much of we saw of APPOLONIA in PURPLE RAIN ( a LOT!) she was The Perfect Package: Beautiful face, beautiful body, gorgeous hair....She was a stunner.

okay, they censored me .... the name PRINCE wanted VANITY to use as her stage name started with a "V" and rhymed with "angina".
